Postcards From My Darling Love is Ripple Root’s twelfth solo painting showcase held at Objectifs: Centre for Film and Photography, the iconic canary yellow chapel building at 155 Middle Road. Inspired by a 1965 black-and-white Singaporean film, we created pieces exploring framing, with romanticised scenes of old Singapore, a cinematic quality including the use of text and subtitling, poetry in terms of composition and subject matter.
